Ryan Couture initially thought his career in MMA would begin on the regional circuit – despite sharing the name of one of the sport’s all-time legends.
But when Strikeforce came calling with a slot on Friday’s Challengers card, Couture felt it was a perfect fit.
And it only took one knock-down, drag-out fight for Couture, the son of UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture, to realize he wanted to be well taken care of when he puts everything on the line.
