Anderson Silva’s next contender is officially up in the air.
One day after news broke
that Vitor Belfort is unable to make a scheduled title fight with Silva
at UFC 112 on April 10 due to a recent shoulder surgery, the promotion
is still searching to find a replacement for the Abu Dhabi event.
Middleweight contender Chael Sonnen – an easy pick to replace Belfort
if not for the injuries he sustained at UFC 109 this past Saturday -
will not get his title shot just yet, according to a Friday report on Yahoo! Sports.
