The early betting lines have been released for Fedor Emelianenko and his next victim/opponent, Fabricio Werdum. Although the heavyweights won’t square-off until June 26th, the Gambling Gods have pretty much guaranteed the Russian will extend his winning streak to 28.
In his Strikeforce debut this last November, the former PrideFC champion posted a vicious 2ndRound knockout of then-undefeated Brett Rogers. The victory pushed Emelianenko’s record to an unprecedented 31-1.
Werdum, who was released by the UFC last year after posting a mundane 2-2 Octagon record, boasts a respectable 13-4-1 overall mark and is perfect in his two scraps for Strikeforce. He was last seen taking a hard-fought unanimous decision over Antonio “Big Foot” Silva at the same “Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Rogers” show.
“Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Werdum” will be jumping off inside the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California.
