Jon Jones Will Appeal DQ Loss To Matt Hamill

After telling people that he was “at peace” with referee Steve Mazzagatti’s decision to disqualify him for repeated illegal elbows, it seems as though having an undefeated record is something that Jon Jones wants to keep.

Jason Genet, Jones’ manager, told MMA FanHouse that they aren’t appealing the illegal elbows, rather the slam which dislocated Matt Hamill’s shoulder.

Jones’ camp believes that the slam was what caused all of Hamill’s issues and that should’ve signaled the end of the fight, not the several illegal elbows landed afterwards.

Although they have made their intentions to appeal clear, nobody knows when they will officially file it with the NSAC.
