As the WEC bantamweight belt is contested in the night’s main event, the next 135-pound title contender could be determined on the same card when Scott Jorgensen meets Brad Pickett at WEC 50.
WEC officials could not be reached for confirmation, but a source close to the event told MMAjunkie.com the fight – if signed – will be part of the event’s Versus-televised main card.
The bout, first reported by MMAWeekly.com, takes place Aug. 18 at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
