WEC bantamweight contender Scott Jorgensen (8-3 MMA, 4-2 WEC) is one
razor-thin round away from carrying a five-fight win streak in the WEC.
With wins over Takeya Mizugaki, Noah Thomas, Frank Gomez and Kenji
Osawa since August 2008, Jorgensen’s only blemish is a June
split-decision loss to Anontio Banuelos in a bout that came down to a
dead-even second frame.
But following his WEC 45 “Fight of the Night” win over Mizugaki, Jorgensen
told MMAjunkie.com he expects a title fight in the
new year.
