Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker Talks CBS, UFC and Fedor Emelianenko Contract

5thRound.com caught up with Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker Wednesday afternoon during the company’s media day in Hollywood, CA where the organization was promoting their highly anticipated CBS primetime broadcast.

While boasting about their star-studded “Strikeforce: Nashville” event on April 17th, the well-respected promoter also shared his thoughts on the company’s future, the UFC as well as Fedor Emelianenko’s current contract status.

“Strikeforce: Nashville” will be jumping off inside the Bridgestone Arena in Tennessee.

A trio of title bouts will headline the card as Gilbert Melendez puts his lightweight belt on the line against Japanese import Shinya Aoki, light heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi will defend his strap against Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal in the night’s co-main event, and newly-signed Dan Henderson challenges middleweight champ Jake Shields for his crown in the evening’s featured contest.
