Longtime K-1 kickboxer and veteran MMA fighter Melvin Manhoef has signed a multi-year deal with Strikeforce that’s exclusive to the U.S.
Strikeforce executive Mike Afromowitz today confirmed the signing with MMAjunkie.com, though exact terms of the deal were not disclosed.
And though Afromowitz said the organization plans to have Manhoef make his promotional debut sooner rather than later, he couldn’t confirm AOL Fanhouse’s report that the newcomer could fight Robbie Lawler at the Dec. 19 “Strikeforce: Evolution” event.
